The Ellinopoula platform and program have been developed in association with education experts with decades of experience in teaching Greek to Greek diaspora children aged 2-12. Based upon the latest educational games’ research, the program’s core consists of interactive, engaging, relevant, and entertaining educational games for optimal learning.

The Program is based on four main sections which are broken down into separate games, videos, and other learning activities. Each section is distinct, yet complements the other 3 in order to reinforce your child’s Greek language learning. The sections are:

Fundamental Greek Language Skills

This section features lettering games and quizzes meant to engage children in active and interactive play. We have made learning the fundamentals a fun pastime for children to master the basics properly and fast in order to progress to other sections equipped with a solid foundation. The Greek language games and quizzes featured on Ellinopoula are screened for suitability, effectiveness and fun.

Friends & Family

This section features timeless Greek-speaking cartoons such as Madeline, Caillou, and Horseland, all of which revolve around human relations through multiple exciting and adventurous scenarios which capture children’s attention and imagination. Children are fascinated with how groups of children, or animals, work together to overcome adversity, or seek adventure. Learning the Greek language through its relevance in a Friends & Family setting is crucial for making the language relevant and meaningful to children.

The World

Children are natural explorers. Τhey want to go on adventures to discover all that the world has to offer. This section uses the Greek language to allow children to explore the world and color drawing games for “Farm Animals”, “Jungle Animals”, “Sea Animals”, “Vehicles”, “Fruits and Vegetables” “My Classroom” and others.

Myself

Part of discovering the world, is discovering one’s own self. This is part of the reason children engage in all kind of play and role plays; pretending to be pilots, pirates, princesses, astronauts, and other roles. Kids watch their favorite characters and travel with them in all sort of imaginary adventures through multiple funny scenarios that help them come a little bit closer to knowing themselves. This section is based on this fact and its main focus is on the self and its relation to others through a multitude of scenarios.
